Content Strategy & Storytelling
About
Gulbahaar Kaur is a writer, editor and content strategist who works where culture, craft and contemporary storytelling meet. Her practice moves between longform writing, narrative design, visual direction and content strategy, with an interest in how identity, memory and material culture travel across platforms and places.

Early on she trained in styling and visual direction while at Pearl Academy, including projects with Hoorvi J. Valaya. In 2020 she built the brand story for Artisaga as Head of Content intern, developing the startup’s voice from the ground up, writing interview-led features that amplified artisan perspectives, and creating product and homepage copy that set the business up for launch. She then led communications for the Modern Art Gallery in New Delhi, shaping exhibition narratives and the gallery’s digital presence during India Art Fair 2022, before moving into editorial strategy at Homegrown where she produced identity-driven features across culture, design and youth-led conversations.

Gulbahaar completed an MA in Fashion Journalism and Content Creation at the London College of Fashion in 2024 and during that period worked at UAL on editorial workflows for the peer reviewed journal Art, Design and Communication in Higher Education. She has also partnered with international projects, most recently shaping the literary-luxury voice and content strategy for Hôtel des Peintres in Paris in collaboration with Abel Nahmias. Her graduation project was selected by curator Arooj Aftab for the UAL exhibition The Sound of Our Names and was used as the exhibition lead image.

She is currently mentee to Jerome Leloup, VP at Rabanne, in a year long mentorship that expands her network across global fashion and creative industries. Alongside writing and strategy, Gulbahaar freelances in styling, film and visual direction, and enjoys work that bridges museum archives, craft communities and contemporary audiences.
